Founder and CEO of One Bullet Entertainment, Paul created 1BE to combine his decades of experience of building strategies for major brands, deep passion for music and front-line experience in the entertainment business. Caring deeply about solving the challenges artists and brands face in breaking through the clutter, lead to his new approach in brand building in the entertainment space.
Paul is also CEO of New Heartland Group (NHG), a Nashville-based brand strategy and customer engagement agency. NHG is the only agency that helps brands connect with their customers in the New Heartland through an understanding of culture, values and lifestyle. Paul wrote two books, published white papers and blogs for Forbes on brand building. He is considered the thought leader in marketing to the Middle.
Prior to NHG, Paul served as Chief Marketing Officer for Elvis Presley Enterprises, and held senior marketing positions at SFX Entertainment (now Live Nation), Gibson Guitar Corp. (global entertainment relations), and in the pop/rock/urban promotion divisions at MCA and SBK Records. He began his music career as a CBS Records college rep and paid his way through college riding in the back of a Ryder box van as a band manager.
Paul was a certified NFL agent and has worked directly with several professional athletes and entertainers including Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, Evander Holyfield, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Lady Antebellum and Elton John.
Paul is a part of the ownership group of The George Jones, a four-story entertainment complex located on historic 2nd Avenue in downtown Nashville, featuring the Smokehouse BBQ restaurant, George Jones Museum, private event space, award-winning rooftop bar, and live music daily.
Co-founded and served as a volunteer Executive Director of the TJ Martell Foundation in Nashville, a music industry foundation that funds research on cancer, leukemia and AIDS.
